QUALITY POLICY

MMS is dedicated to providing consistent and flawless inspection reports that would benefit the customers to achieve:

  • Promulgates clear objectives, instructions, performance indicators and continual improvement guidelines through its Quality Management System.
  • Demands strict compliance with this Management System.
  • Encourages ideas and innovation from all employees and industry sources to improve this Management System.

We promote open and honest communication throughout the MMS community to support and implement this policy.

ENVIROMENTAL POLICY:

MMS is committed to the protection of the environment and the prevention of pollution.

To achieve this, MMS.:

  • Strictly enforces compliance with international conventions, flag state regulations and local port state laws.
  • Encourages continual improvement of its environmental management system
  • Recognizes environmental protection as a critical responsibility of all within the MMS community, including contractors.
  • Supports the use of environmentally safe products, equipment.
  • Provides its personnel with the necessary tools to fulfill their responsibilities.

We promote open and honest communication throughout the Navimar S. A. community to support and implement this policy.

Drug & Alcohol Policy

  • Illicit drug use is strictly prohibited.
  • Abuse of prescription or non-prescription drugs which in their overuse may cause personal harm or result in diminished awareness or capacity to function safely or coherently is prohibited.
  • Intoxication of any kind is prohibited while on duty and can cause immediate termination from the duty.

Consumption of any kind of alcoholic beverages (including beer) and drugs during the Inspectors stay on board (during inspection or otherwise) is strictly prohibited. The amount of BAC during Inspectors stay on board is established as 0%. Inspector is not allowed to bring alcohol or drugs on board ships. If required, the Inspector can be screened for alcohol and drug abuse during medical check-ups during vessel inspection to ensure no breach in policy.

SECURITY POLICY

MMS is committed to protect the security interest of its employees, customers and the business associates.

Through this policy, MMS seeks the following objectives:

  • Creating awareness to prevent terrorist or criminal activities happening ashore in various ports,
  • Identify the potential for criminal or terrorist activities,
  • Deter terrorist or criminal activities, and
  • React when terrorist or criminal activities are encountered.

Zero Tolerance for Receiving Gifts and Favours

Our clients rely on MMS for accuracy and objectivity. As such, we believe it is imperative that MMS Contractors refrain from any activity that appears to create a conflict of interest, any form of favoritism, or even the appearance of impropriety.

MMS prohibits receiving gifts from any third party with whom we do, or wish to do, business. If an employee receives such a gift, they must report it to MMS for additional instructions.

Please note that with immediate effect the tolerance for receiving / accepting gifts, favours, drinks, dinners & lunches (except necessary meals on the vessel) from vessel personnel, superintendents, agents, owners, ship operators and similar related parties is lowered to “Zero”. Any attempts to invite inspectors for dinner / drinks or to give gifts of whatever value small or large, should be politely declined referring to company policy and MUST be reported. The MMS policy overrides any other customer policy in this regard. For understanding and awareness of all associates and employees, The Company shall communicate ZERO TOLERANCE policy at an annual basis.
